Movie Review: Torque

This was on HBO today, thought I'd give it a gander, though I wasn't expecting great things. I did right. Good job, so's not to be disappointed. The camera-work and scenery are ok (it looks like Bad Boys with its rusty, sandy tones), as are the bikes I guess if that's what does it for you, much like The Fast and Furious was with it's cars, but that had a better story line with better acting...!!?!?
Henry just screwed himself. See those scratches and nicks? [throws a bike chain link to his love interest]
Yeah.
Well it picked them up from the sprocket. Now no two bikes have the same chain-ware pattern, 'cos no two sprockets are the same. So we match the chain used to kill Junior with Henry's bike... and we got 'im.
Like a finger-print...?
A biker mechanics wet-dream. Brain challenging stuff I'm sure you'll agree.

This is also the second time I've seen Ice-Cube in a film in as many days. Now with his tough 'n bad guy persona and bit of French from his mouth, this film may help keep his integrity back in his hood - assuming Ice-Cube came from a hood with his rapper routes (He was a rapper right? I can't think of anything he did), not to mention that name. Now thinking back to yesterdays diabolical film; Are We There Yet?, 'Ice' will, or should never be able to show his face around his contemporaries again!
